Roy AlexanderGOLDSTRAWOn 6th January 2022, at Macclesfield Hospital, Roy aged 87, peacefully passed away. Devoted and beloved husband of Phyllis, treasured dad of Wendy and Stephen, father-in-law of Wendy and the late Maria, adored and cherished grandad of Dan and Tom and their partners Sally and Hayley, dearest great-grandad of Alby, Luca and Theo. Roy was a much loved brother-in-law and uncle and a friend to many. Roy will be deeply missed and lovingly thought of by all who knew him. Roy will be remembered as a haulage contractor, the Sub-Postmaster of Harpur Hill Post Office, which he and Phyllis ran for over 25 years, and for being the manager of various football teams, and latterly as a keen crown green bowler. The funeral service will take place at St. John's Church, Buxton on Friday 21st January, 2022 at 2:15pm, followed by committal at Macclesfield Crematorium. Family flowers only please, however kind donations in memory of Roy for British Heart Foundation, Cancer Research UK or Buxton Parish Churches may be sent to: R.W.
